Recover Recap

I awoke to gentle slapping on my face. 'Its me... buggy, you're alright... I just saved your life'. It seemed dark haired lad from Jays team had just introduced himself to me. 'Thank you... how long was I out?' I asked... 'Not long mate... ' he replied 'we done em... good moves by the way. I saw you take them 2 out.' He handed me my hammer and left to meet the others. I told him I'll be there in a bit. I needed to wrap up my arm and get my shoes and packs. I got all my stuff together but just sat by a tree. My head was throbbing worse then the arm. How come I knew what to do but I couldn't perform? How did I manage to take both targets out? I figured that today wasn't my time to die. I had a guardian angel that was keeping me alive... I didn't even believe in angels so that was a silly idea, but the best I could think of.

I got credit for taking down two targets... but it didn't feel like I had taken anyone down. The first fell because my hammer happened to go in the right direction when it slipped from my hand and the random dive attempt happened to force the intruder into the side of a tree... how could I take credit for that. This was frustrating, but it made me want to go again. I needed to prove that I could do this, not only to Jay or Ben or the other defenders, but to myself. I would need to train my mind to function properly in combat. That way I wouldn't get hit, and I could actually neutralise my targets. For now though, all the attackers were gone so our towns would be safe from the same fate as Unique Village. I needed rest. I had taken lots of wounds today. Next stop. The empty town of Leber.
